Like tentative turtles we thrust our heads out of our shells.

Sunlight startles after weeks of gray-green skies .

 

And life goes on whatever that means.

 

In the darkness, I heard your voice call my name.

It must have been a memory

An echo of another place…

and of a time when we were as innocent as children,

And as vulnerable as my roses, that now lie battered by the rain.

 

And I will not feel the pain or the sadness of their broken petals.

I am the turtle with the reinforced shell.

I am the ten minute gardener.

And what nature destroys will be replanted on the next dry day.

 

Like shipwreck survivors we reassure each other

Before we count our dead.

 

And I will not sail on that ship again.

I am the woman that insists on loving a ghost,

a living ghost who haunts my dreams as I sleep.

Here is the ancient proof that what I sow I now shall reap.

Sometimes in the mid 1980's on a summer day at Ray Hubbard Lake my friend Debbie and I watched lights in the sky with about a hundred other people. For over an hour, cars continued to arrive and the crowd grew. The number of lights in the sky varied. But they danced and flew moving in all sorts of directions. It was surreal. I remember the crowd was pretty quiet that day. Debbie was a photographer. She took a lot of photographs.

Later on she sold some of the photos and she promised to have one framed for me. In 1985 I went on a multi state traveling assignment and when I got home Debbie had joined the Navy. She later served in the Gulf War.  The last I heard Debbie became a career officer so I doubt I will ever get my UFO picture.

The video below is made more bizarre by the TV in the background. Here's a guy shooting an amazing video while someone is prattling on about their multiple marriages and their movie deals...But I had to show it....What do you think this is?

 

In Mesa, Az - April 25th, 2007 at 12:12pm the UFO Fleet returned, or maybe they never left. The video here is exactly what I saw that day over 20 years ago. 

 

In the land of Sumer (ancient Iraq) near the birth of civilization there are legends of strange lights in the sky......and often these lights have the power of prophesy....I pray they are signs for peace.

There is no freedom from Mother Nature’s light show.

In an echo of our lost blues sister we are beaten in our sleep by the thunder in the unrelenting sky.

I swear to you we will not be defeated.

If we are not claimed by the flood,

we will dance in the rain on the 4^th of July.
