I started a poem that turned into a paragraph.

My mind is filled with mixed metaphors and confused pronouns.

So I guess I'll get some sleep and hope that tomorrow  gives me a little focus, and a lotta energy!

 

So today I saw ex friend /lover/handyman John with another woman.  The only way I survived it was the internal conversation I had......which went something like this.

"She's got skinny legs......He looks haunted....I bet she's the crack whore from 2004....She looks like she's had a rough life....At least he's embarassed....she's only got 30 days sober...He must be outta his mind. He'll be crawling backl If she gives me one more dirty look I'm sticking out my tongue."

The real conversation started with hugs and went something like this..."What are you doing in Dallas? Great to see you. I have to get down to the copy center to get these brochures printed. Then we're going to lunch. Talk to you soon...."

Stupid thing is I'm the one who ended it. There is someone else....But damn he looked good.

A forgotten spark ignites my memories,

of rising heat and freezing rain.

 

I am alive and warm in the light of your leaving.

The heat turns my life and burns my soul.

Put another blog on the fire.

It creates such a beautiful glow.

 

The pyromaniac’s fantasy awakens me.

Steam rises from New England.

We touch two souls together and

hope for body heat.
