Second Chances

You Are Not Alone or Light Dancing

For all the cold and hungry....
Who feel no joy in their life
For all the lost and lonely
Who deal with daily strife

For all the soldiers fighting
Who have taken on so much
For all the sick and dying
Who need a human touch…

Everywhere there are lost souls,
that have no Christmas in their heart
so gather the weary children,

Whose lives were torn apart.

Don't give up to the darkness
don’t be overtaken by the night
you are not alone....

I see you dancing in the light.

 Digital Levels or Onion Skins

In November 2005 I wrote the post below.

I posted it in active HTML  here.... Some people have chosen to comment directly on the post.....It now looks like they are added to the original comments....

If you click on 29 comments in the actual post text below you can see the rest of the comments.....The counter will always stay at 29, but there are more comments on the post. Some are in the normal comment mode and some are hidden within the post.

I love the idea that the unseen exists and the spiritual is everywhere. I love the idea that Pioneer started the stream as a "side project". It doesn't take much for me...but I am loving this ride.

 Remembering November on the Stream

Transparency
Back to Full Blog

Just a short Thank You note.

I thought that this blogging thing was a look at other people's lives. It brought out the voyeur in me. But now I feel it is a trip into a little part of their minds and hearts. Each of your blogs I read becomes a bit more revealing about how you feel and think.

A very strong wise woman once told me that she could tell when people were getting better because they start to achieve more transparency. Each of your blogs and comments shows me a little bit more about how you feel and think. Peeling away the layers of an onion.

Some reveal themselves through their contradictions or their pain. That's as good a way as any. Some people want to talk about politics or religion. Maybe they are trying to understand or be understood. There is some dynamic fiction, prose and poetry, role playing and cries for help. Sometimes there are the angry ones, those that rage against the darkness. There are genuinely confused and lonely. This stream of consciousness is taking on a power of its own. We share opinions, ideas, joy and even grief.

When someone is absent they are missed. Even Love is moving back and forth between these blogs. I do not believe that it is the means of transmission, but the power of the souls involved. I must be a really strange woman to believe there is something spiritual here. Maybe I just see the spiritual almost everywhere.

My intellect is being constantly challenged and sharpened. I love a good mystery and the mystery is in the people. I am going to continue to let you reveal yourself to me. I shared a few "real life" stories and got a good response. I have developed friends and critics. Sometimes my critics are my friends. I will take a better look at the stories that make up my life. Everything comes into the light...transparency...

Beautifully written, I agree completely that there is something spiritual about connecting to other people this way. And I very much enjoy your writing, and your blog.

Do ya'll think maybe Wally has become somebody else on the blogstream, or is that just wishful thinking? I have been looking for him everywhere.

I don't think that in the time I've shared with the great human beings that live here in the blogstream, that I've ever heard the experience summed up as a whole in such a beautiful and articulate way, thank you C.C. people like you ARE the spiritual element in here that makes it all worth writing for..your friend Scratch.

That was beautifully written, Coloconnect. My poetry has always been very personal because it is dealing with something that I took more than 20 years to find help to deal with. Sometimes I think I am putting something on my Blog that is too personal but I have had so much support, it is fantastic. Keep writing, I look forward to reading more.........Kaz

" I must be a really strange woman to believe there is something spiritual here. Maybe I just see the spiritual almost everywhere." No you are NOT strange CC, you're perceptive; the spiritual IS everywhere! Especially where there is love, and yes, there is love here at blogstream. Isn't that awesome??????? Thanks for sharing yourself. :)

I will spend some serious time reviewing ALL of your blogs, as this one definitely knocked my socks off, and found the words to express why I have so fallen in love with this charming community...thank you

CC- It is a great little community we have here and you described it beautifully- There is something quite spiritual in sharing pieces of your soul with each other in this little piece of the stream... Maybe more so because people are more willing to take away the mask and reveal more of their inner thoughts and feelings than in the real world out there. After all the fear of rejection is lessened in here because people have the power to block it if so desired. People have told me that I share too much but alas it is who I am... It is as real as it gets and in that way we reveal our truest selves to one another. It's not just you... it can be a very enlightening and spiritual experience. CC- I like you just the way you are! Keep blogging!! PolarB ;)

This is a great experience for me because it's REAL! Yeah, I know some is fiction, but it's meant to be that way and that's called REAL talent. There is real humor, insight, sorrow, feelings, inner thoughts and sharing of them all. That outer layer we all possess is to protect all those real things inside us from criticism and exploitation in the world. This world is different and that's what I love about it. We see all of everybody and it's REAL. These are people at their best.

I also was touched by this latest blog post, and can't tell you how much I appreciated your recent comments on "Touchy Subjects". Although I was a broadcast journalist for almost 25 years, I got stabbed in the back too many times. I just had to leave the industry. But I always will remain a writer at heart. And damn it -- I miss it! Blogging is quickly becoming my creative outlet, as well as a great place to find like-minded people -- like you. Now, if I can just learn not to make each post the length of "War And Peace".... Again...a great blog! After what I've seen and heard from the White House over the last five years, its truly refreshing to hear intelligence, compassion and a good command of language from a Texan. Keep up the great posts, and stay in touch.

I agree; wonderful sentiment, well expressed. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I'm a Texan as well, I just don't live there anymore. Is this comment reading like a jumble of random sentences?

I agree 100 percent with your comments-there are some very rare people on this blogstream-as you said and others has stated-a spiritual feeling here-people caring about others-encouraging each other to keep on-keeping on. Life is full of joy-heartaches-pain-suffering of different kind-we all are humans-and we all have had our share of bad things in our lives--just helps to make the bonds stronger-it just like Wally-we all are wondering where is Wally-is he ok-some of us has become so close in such a short time-that part of us is missing-because we dont hear from Him-he is missing and no one seems to know where-just hope he returns-he has made so many friends on blogstream. Keep up the good work-you are so blessed.

I feel the same ways that you do. I like this whole blogging thing and how it lets us connect with others whom we may never meet face to face. Without blogging, we may never have been able to learn as much as we do from these people. -Spiffyqueen

You are a very intelligent woman. I wish more of us had the ability to see as you see. I don't have your sense of goodness in what I read. I need to spend more time reading than writing. Take good care and thank-you for your kind words.

If anyone happens on to these comments you really need to click on Lizzy above and take a look at her website. She is a great young writer with a lot of energy. She also has a future bestseller coming out. Another friend I've never met from Texas. Wish I would have had the drive she does when I was younger.

you are so right! This is a very spiritual thing. This blogging. I love it. I maintain several and have met people from all over. I think that I can actually say that most of the grieving for my father has taken place through blogs. Each word of encouragement. Each similar story seems to have helped me to move on. I haven't been back home (delaware) yet. But, that's the next thing. ;-)

 Something's Happening Here

BLOWIN' IN THE WIND

(Words and Music by Bob Dylan)

How many roads must a man walk down

Before you call him a man?

Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail

Before she sleeps in the sand?

Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly Before they're forever banned?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many times must a man look up Before he can see the sky?

Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have Before he can hear people cry?

Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows That too many people have died?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many years can a mountain exist Before it's washed to the sea?

Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist Before they're allowed to be free?

Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head, Pretending he just doesn't see?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind.
