I so loved it when the wagons circled
and we all met at the camp fire
Circles within circles
I joined all the travelers
As our minds and bodies tired

And when the daylight turned to darkness
the music drifted my way
Lonely lyrics touched my soul
And a cowboy smiled at me
as he began to play

Falling stars hit the ground
And revealed a distant tribe
Moving closer for the music
Staying distant for their pride
From the darkness came an Indian child
And she was not afraid
She danced by herself until the fire faded

And the wagontrain applauded and laughed the night away
Then the child spread her wings and flew
When the darkness turned to daylight
The wagons rolled around
We stared into the heavens
but were firmly planted on the ground
The wagontrain threaded through the canyon
and the angels never made a sound
