If a star falls in the woods and no one sees it...
Is it still a star? Or does it become a bonfire?
If a bonfire rages in the night to the edge of a stream...
Is it still a bonfire? Or does it become a waterfall?
If the waterfall beats against the rocks and flows to the ocean...
Is it still a waterfall? Or does it become a dream?
If the dream is born in the woods and dies in the ocean without witness...
Does that mean that the dream can't come true?

Sunburn peels away gray clouds
Windfalls only to rise again
Clarity lost in a mind maze
Must be restored from the growing wind

I focus on the lines of a leaf
On the point of a pin

I was going to talk a little about the people I have met on the Stream....I could not do it nearly as well as Six did in her anniversary post. I thought I would write a poem about the people on the stream...but I have done that before....

I talked to Dazey today. I decided that my friend Dazey, the brilliant and interesting woman, who writes "The Spiral Path" is on my mind.

I came to the Stream in mid October...I recognized where I was during Halloween week. If that sounds weird, so be it. But it was Halloween week, when the stream became a real place to me.

I am not sure how Dazey and I first started to communicate by email and phone. I have offline friends in Michigan and I remember trying to get Dazey together with some of the resources they had....As it turned out Daze did not need my help.

Anyway....Dazey is a woman in transition...On the surface, we don't have a lot in common...but we did discover that we like and respect each other. And I am not sure if Daze would agree with me, but I think we are both "all or nothing" kinda women. I believe we both fall into the intuitive category...Maybe with her water sign tendencies Dazey more than me. I am sure she would disagree with that one.

The day that Sami had her relapse Dazey called me because she was worried and "sensed" something was wrong. I got the call that an ambulance was on the way, when she and I were talking.

Dazey is my friend. Dazey is often my muse. We have a strange bond formed in the mystical waters of the stream. Dazey sometimes laughs at my sense of the dramatic, but she agrees that there is an ebb and flow to the stream. Her path and intelligence always leaves me in awe. Like her recent study of math and physics, Dazey ventures places I cannot really go.

Since we started on the Stream, Dazey has been on this Spiral Path.I am an alcoholic, Dazey has had a lot of experience with the Alanon end of things. I am sure that Taylor would see the irony in that.

Scorpio women are all about renewal. She has not always been happy where it is taking her. But today Dazey is starting another adventure. She may be writing less again. She will try to make time to do a post this week. Whatever her post says, I will read it with admiration. I have been lucky enough to see her miracle take shape, and now it is moving through her life.

Someday Dazey, and I just may write a book together. I would like that very much.
