 Falling Dreams or Scattering

Hold on to those falling dreams,
Like birds scattering from the sky.
A wiser woman once told me
To teach those dreams to fly.

Let go of that unforgiving memory
When it shames your gentle soul
Although, it binds your life to mine
I beg you please let go.

If my dreams are flying,
then my spirit will be free.
I will not be afraid,
when life comes back for me.

Too Many Men or Going Home Alone

My old friend Jack's birthday party is tonight. I already decided not to play poker. I don't like to play unless I feel lucky. That's how I have always felt about love too. So I should be home by 10PM...Now if I had a really busy social life filled with love and romance....I think 10 PM would be early. John is working in Ft Worth tonight and it will probably be Sunday till I see him. The odds are good that I will see Randy at Jack's birthday, but we all know that's not going anywhere.

The phone rings and it is my ex-fiancee (he's married and our relationship was over years ago anyway). Now apparently he has been thinking that we need to talk again. The last time I saw him was a couple of months ago. He asked if I would play chess with him sometime. I said sure. He wants to come over Sunday afternoon. Well I got to thinking about it, and if I remember right that was a kinda foreplay, in our long ago relationship.

Anyway, I write this silly little blog about Randy and I being "engaged to be in love"..I spend time with John "dancing". Now the possibility of forbidden romance (not one I will pursue) has reared it's ugly head. The timing is interesting.

I think what it means, is I am an all or nothing kinda woman...boom or bust..lots of choices or a romance wasteland.

So For John.....

 Feeling the Storm

The shadows move across the night,
as the wind blows through the trees.
Dancing stars beckon me,
as I feel the music in the breeze.

The smell of winter dying in the rain,
is met by crushing thunder.
And I feel the storm moving through my world.
It will leave it's pain and it's wonder.

The anger turns to rage when suddenly,
Darkness comes alive with an unexpected light.
Sanity returns, like an old friend,
when inspiration strikes, as the tree falls in the night.
